PARENT COACHING
45 minutes per session
(up to 8 sessions - 2 can run concurrently)
Parenting is challenging and at times we can all benefit from working through the issues we face with someone who is objective and will not judge us. The value of the coaching process assists in identifying what will work in your own unique set of circumstances and build your strength and capacity for future challenges.
There are typically three phases to the process:
-
Establishing trust and understanding your specific parenting circumstances (1 to 3 sessions)
-
Identifying and confirming what you want to achieve from the coaching (1 to 2 sessions)
-
Building strength, capacity and fortitude specifically for yourself and, if necessary, establishing a support network for the future (3 to 5 sessions)
60 minutes per session
(up to 8 sessions - 2 can run concurrently)
Often, both partners involved in the parenting process find it difficult and may have very different approaches to parenting. Working through the issues together can deepen the understanding of the impact or value of the differences, both on each other, and the child(ren). This process can facilitate the design of a new approach.
There are typically three phases to the process:
-
Establishing trust and understanding your specific parenting circumstances (1 to 3 sessions)
-
Identifying and confirming what you want to achieve from the coaching, and in your respective parenting roles (1 to 2 sessions)
-
Building your strength and capacity and, if necessary, establishing a support network (3 to 5 sessions)
2 to 4 hours per session
Working with other people who share similar or different parenting experiences can significantly enhance our own strength, capacity and decision-making, and can help with establishing a support network.
There are two types of sessions which may also include Educators and/or School Counsellors:
-
Free flowing facilitated conversations.
-
Themed conversations determined by the group or facilitator.
